No matter where you’re traveling, an unfortunate universal reality is that you need to pack for the trip. And it can be hard to figure out what to pack, can’t it? Especially if you prefer to pack light.
Well, I’ve taken a variety of trips – budget trips, wedding trips, beach, mountain, campervan – you name it. All these trips have been carry-on only, most with just a 30-40L backpack + personal item.
What I’m trying to say is, if you’re looking for someone to help you pack light for just about any trip, you’ve come to the right place. My carry-on only packing lists include luggage, clothing (both mine and my husband’s lists), medication/first aid, electronics and grooming.
Check out some of my carry-on only packing lists! And if you have any questions for a packing list that isn’t available, just ask.

Additionally, I encourage you to check your local thrift stores, Buy Nothing groups and with friends/family for most items before purchasing something new, even through one of these links. It will be better for your wallet and the planet! Except shoes and underwear – please take care of your hygiene and your feet. Secondhand shoes are bad for foot health, and injured/painful feet make traveling not as fun.
My overarching packing list – recommendations for what accompanies me on pretty much every list – is below. If you are looking for a specific carry-on packing list, you can find them at the following links:
